Deborah Reid is a pre-eminently rated attorney and an accomplished artist. Reid creates colorful, highly visual seminars and reference guides at the intersection of art and law. She has lectured internationally various arts organizations, universities,the American Bar Association and numerous cultural and professional organizations.

Reid’s seminars provide informative overviews of copyright law and accessible explanations of how it is responding to AI, NFTs and other technological advances. Her presentations are tailored to fit the audience. She has customized programs for architects, art students, photographers, visual artists and writers.

Copyright Artfully Explained : A colorful, accessible overview of copytright basics and its interaction with the visual arts.

Andy Warhol, Prince + You: An add-on to Copyright Artfully Explained (or a stand-alone. Creatives participate in a mock trial based on the recent Supreme Court case regarding Andy Warhol’s nonlicense use of photographer Goldsmith’s portrait of Prince. Participants will gain a real understanding of the difference between fair use and copyright infringement.

Deborah Reid is a seasoned federal practitioner with an AV rating. She has presented lectures for the American Bar Association on the application of copyright law to technological advances.

Reid has presented CLEs nationally. Her most recent classes include AI + Andy Warhol + Computer Code + Copyright and Copyright + Art: Colorful Stories and Original Artwork.

Deborah is a graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law. She is a member of the bars of California, Florida and New York.
